Russia and China wanted to completely abolish the visa regime, and the countries are moving towards this goal "step by step." This was stated in an interview with TASS by the Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Moscow Zhang Wei.
"We want to make travel more convenient for citizens of both countries, so that they meet more often and visit each other," the diplomat explained. —But we are currently discussing these issues and promoting their solution."
At the same time, according to the representative of the diplomatic mission, it is difficult to say when the full result will be. "It takes a certain amount of time," he added. "But I don't think it will be long."
Earlier it became known that Russia and Myanmar have agreed to introduce a visa-free regime, Foreign Minister Tan Swei said. A bilateral agreement to launch visa-free travel with one of the most dangerous countries in the world is planned to be concluded within one to two months.
