Russia and Myanmar are close to signing a visa-free regime
"The agreement is in a high state of readiness. Our goal is to sign this document during March. We hope so," Interfax quotes Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, for its part, provided the latest technical amendments and sent them to representatives of Myanmar for consideration.
It is specified that the visa-free regime is currently in effect unilaterally only for citizens. Russians who arrive in Myanmar. Myanmar citizens can come to Russia on an electronic visa.
The agreement under development implies the complete cancellation of visas from both sides for trips of up to 30 days.
