“Many Russians like to visit Mauritius, and we are working with Aeroflot to launch direct flights. The issue is almost closed, but there are several aspects that we are working on, ”Hesvar Janke told RIA Novosti.

The Ambassador also clarified that not only direct flights between the countries are under consideration, but also an alternative flight through the Seychelles, to which a corresponding request has been sent.

The launch of flights between Mauritius and Russia has been under development since January 2022.
